Dreamland Ponies is dedicated to providing well trained, educated horses and ponies, professional trainers, and consulting and coordinating services for any film media that require equine talent. We have a passion for horses, and for what we do. We provide beautiful miniature horses, ponies and full-size horses for all media and occasions, including stage, screen, television, movies, print work, professional photo shoots, promotions and special events.

It takes years of experience to understand what motivates horses (and especially ponies) to perform from positive-guided reward. Our trainers are seasoned with 25 plus years of experience. We are specialized professionals and easy to work with. We are qualified to discuss the details of your shoot, project, or event, which will insure a safe, smooth and successful performance from the horses or pony(s) you select. We offer full production service, from the script breakdown through the filming. Our trainers have experience working and coordinating between trainers and productions to make sure that each horse or pony performs to the best of their abilities. Our approach is based on training methods designed to ensure that our ponies and horses enjoy training and performing. We pay close attention to them to make sure that every request is understood, and we remain extremely respectful of what our ponies and horses are ready to offer. Our philosophy is rooted in patience, trust, and deep-seated respect. This genuine sense of caring and authenticity is inevitably what resonates with our clients. We have an amazing perception of how to set up shots, to get your shots! We are also prepared to lead our horse and pony actors by your direction.
The health and well-being of our ponies, and safety for them, your crew and actors...is priority number one. We make sure that you get what you want without compromising our animal's well-being. We strictly follow all American Humane Association rules for "animal actors".
We use "positive reinforcement" training methods by which many animal training companies regard as the modern standard of excellence. Our expertise in equine behavior and original training methodology is an integral part of the entertainment business as we know it today. We maintain an excellent reputation due to the credit of our amazing trainers... For a horse is only as great as the trainer that trained them. We use similar methods used for training and "bombproofing" mounted police horses. We are animal lovers ourselves, and our ponies are always happy, healthy, attractive, well-groomed, and well-trained. Our ponies are loved and cared for 365 days a year. They live at home with us, and our family members, which creates loving animals that are fun and *safe* to be around. Our love and care for each of our horses and ponies set us apart from others, as can easily be seen on every single shoot.
Our highly trained, equine actors are very experienced, seasoned professionals that are quiet, calm and dependable in every type of different environment inside and out. They comfortably ride in elevators, climb up and down stairs, walk up and down ramps, and willingly jump up onto short platforms or into vehicles. They are accustomed to working on and around sets, electrical cords, speakers, all lighting equipment, electric fans, different flooring textures and surfaces, and loud noises. They are comfortable being on stage with live audiences, in recording studios, radio studios, television news studios, and working in the middle of crowds with tens of thousands of people. They are friendly, brave, confident, gentle, highly social, love their jobs and adore people.
We can color coordinate tack to match any color or theme you are looking for. Our horses and ponies can dress up in costumes (including being transformed into unicorns, pegasus and anything our clients can dream of). We can provide long, fairy tale mane and tail extensions of any color (pending shipping time to receive specific extensions in time of event). We can also temporarily color their manes and tails any color or combination of colors with safe, non-toxic, veterinarian approved, children’s water-based paint.
